We're looking for a high-energy, self-motivated, administrator to help us grow our market-leading position. As a Quality Engineer, you'll be an integral member of the Indianapolis Quality Team and work alongside quality engineers, operations leaders and quality control staff to assure product and process quality.

  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process-related concerns
  • New Product Development, PPAP, and supplier audits
  • Use data and statistical methods to validate corrective actions and improvements
  • Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system such as using statistical methods including Six Sigma, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping
  • Develop training materials in coordination with Quality Manager to build quality awareness
  • Interface with engineering and operations to ensure new products are developed and manufactured in accordance with approved data
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audits finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventive actions
  • Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
  • Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the overall activities of receiving / outgoing quality functions
  • Continuously improve quality assurance receiving inspection process and procedures
  • Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions
  • Manage suppliers' performance and conduct audits
  • Prepare quality assurance reports
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2+ years experience in quality engineering
  • 2+ years of experience ISO9000
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time (domestic and international)
  • Masters Degree
  • Degree in a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • ASQ CQE / CQM / CSSGB / CSSBB certification
  • Knowledge of APQP Processes
  • Past work experience in automotive/aerospace as a quality engineer and/or manufacturing or electronics environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools to analyze and communicate
  • Understanding of lean principles and systems thinking to effectively lead the projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent project management skills and comfortable communicating at all levels of management and with external customers and suppliers
  • Highly motivated, organized and flexible individual that is customer and results focused
