About The Position

As a Senior Quality Engineer - Automation , you will make an impact by driving quality assurance early in the development lifecycle and building robust automation frameworks within agile teams. You will be a valued member of the Quality Engineering & Assurance team and collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery. In This Role, You Will Work within SAFe Agile development teams using a BDD approach , supporting developers to assure quality early. Manage all automation setup activities and establish standards. Utilize development, data manipulation, and scripting skills to engineer repeatable technical tests. Perform all forms of functional and non-functional testing . Coordinate automation testing activities across teams. Report on testing progress and strategy, providing insights to inform management decisions. Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week onsite in Riverwoods, IL . Requirements

  • 6-8 years of QA experience with strong expertise in automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Cucumber , Gherkin scripting , and BDD frameworks .
  • Proficiency in Java , Selenium , Serenity , and web services ( REST and SOAP ).
  • Understanding of test data management for automation cases.
  • Familiarity with build and deployment tools such as Maven , GitHub , and Jenkins .
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines .

  • Ability to mentor and coordinate automation activities across teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments with complex integrations.
