We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Consumer Markets Division in Newport Beach, CA. As a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by e nsuring software quality by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans (manual & automated) and identifying and documenting defects while collaborating with development teams to improve reliability, performance, and user satisfaction. Key duties include test strategy, leading automation, complex scenario testing, defect management, performance/security testing, and communicating quality metrics to stakeholders . You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 1 0 people in the Technology division. Your colleagues will include Analysts and Developers working in a collaborative Agile environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with auto-test creation and execution

  • Experience working within an Agile software development environment
  • Financial Industry Experience

Responsibilities

  • Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts, frameworks, and programs for testing.
  • Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
  • Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  • Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.
  • Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
  • Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
  • Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
