We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Consumer Markets Division in Newport Beach, CA. As a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by ensuring software quality by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans (manual & automated) and identifying and documenting defects while collaborating with development teams to improve reliability, performance, and user satisfaction. Key duties include test strategy, leading automation, complex scenario testing, defect management, performance/security testing, and communicating quality metrics to stakeholders. You will fill a new role that sits on a team of 10 people in the Technology division. Your colleagues will include Analysts and Developers working in a collaborative Agile environment. How you’ll help move us forward: Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts, frameworks, and programs for testing. Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with auto-test creation and execution
