The NC DOT is seeking a Test Analyst for an approximately 8month engagement on the Department’s PDEA Tracking Upgrade project. The project will develop an application to report on environmental attributes of statewide efficiently and consistently. This position will be an integral part of the PDEA Tracking Upgrade [ITP.00242]. The candidate will be the primary resource for functional and performance testing of a new PDEA application and Mobile app that will be utilized by the PDEA department. This dedicated short term (8 months) resource is required for supplementing existing DOT IT Enterprise Test team resources to adequately accomplish the increased workload required to successfully implement the PDEA Tracking Upgrade project and DOT application strategies. The Test Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Review and analysis of project requirements for clarity, understanding and testability
  • Development of system test plans and manual test cases
  • Development of automatic test scripts for functional and performance testing
  • Execution of the test cases and test scripts
  • Defect management and reporting
  • Providing input or creating testing artifacts to include but not be limited to: Test Plans, Test Results, Metrics and Defect Reports
  • Providing weekly status reports to Management
  • The individual must have proven experience with developing test documents, automated test scripts and testing web applications with complex interfaces across technology platforms.
  • Experience with HP’s suite of testing tools (ALM/Quality Center, Quick Test Professional, LoadRunner/Performance Center
