The Quality Assurance Analyst is an integral member of the Information technology team, responsible for delivering high quality clinical applications as well as leading other QA members. Areas of focus for this position include: developing, modifying, and executing automation and manual software test plans; analyzing and writing test standards and procedures; maintaining documentation of results; and working closely with the Software Development team in resolving problems. The right candidate will be team player, detailed oriented, analytical, able to effectively communicate with teams, and able to work under strict time constraints. A strong desire for producing quality products is essential.

  • Create and execute test cases as necessary.
  • Help develop a comprehensive test plan for new/existing systems and release cycles.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance project timelines.
  • Work cooperatively within an integrated team of developers, product managers, and QA analysts in an agile development environment with fast-paced release cycles.
  • Report project status and issues to IT and Business Management.
  • Recommend quality improvement practices and processes to IT Management based on current and emerging technologies to improve performance, reduce costs, and/or reduce administrative time.
  • Ability to plan verification of new and existing systems.
  • 5+ years direct experience functioning in a quality assurance environment.
  • 3 years hands-on experience creating test cases and test plans for large, complex systems.
  • Experience working with off-shore teams.
  • Proficient knowledge of QA tool sets.
  • Ability to apply creative thinking and problem solving skills to complex business scenarios.
  • Ability to effectively lead and train others in order to produce a successful team.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business, Clinical Informatics or equivalent combination of professional training and experience.
  • Experience within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience with HL7.
  • Experience working with EMR systems.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experience in automated and performance testing tools.
