Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of engineering experience with a proven track record of building consumer web applications or services
• Expert in Python (Django) and responsive front-end design (Bootstrap, Foundation, etc.)
• Experience with version control systems (git) and cloud-based services (AWS, Linode, etc.)
• Self-motivated and accountable
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Experience with JavaScript, jQuery and Backbone.js
• Proficiency with databases PostgreSQL
• High attention to detail to maintain design integrity throughout the build process
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to clearly and professionally interact with clients

Nice To Haves

• Experience with scripting, scheduling jobs etc.
• Experience with Database Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server (MSSQL)
• Unix/Linux experience
• Knowledge of deployment frameworks
• Skills in Ruby, Perl, and ColdFusion
• Experience with responsive design
• Experience with Java
• Experience with Django CMS or Ruby on Rails
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Grunt, Angular)

Responsibilities

• Use Django tool to build new applications
• Design new applications independently and/or work architect
• Migrate legacy applications to python
• Analyze legacy applications code and learn the legacy applications' functionalities
• Maintain existing applications, and provide support to users
• Provide vision for new applications from functionalities, to front end UI design
• Interact with end users, and Government Lead, managers to understand new application' requirements and support needs
• Reverse engineer the legacy application if necessary
• Use customers' systems to maintain code
