About The Position

Onsite (Santa Monica) Skilled Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience with strong expertise in AWS cloud services and Python development, with the ability to design, implement, and optimize scalable solutions. Knowledge of Benchling is a plus but not mandatory. You will play a key role in building and integrating applications that support our business processes and scientific workflows.

Requirements

3-5 years of professional experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in Python programming.
Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration techniques.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
Good understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Benchling platform and its APIs.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Exposure to data processing or scientific workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Python and AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, etc.).
Implement secure and scalable cloud-based solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and backend services.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across environments.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
