About The Position

The Sr Proofreader at SGK is responsible for ensuring that all final layouts for production assignments meet the agreed-upon quality standards. This role involves inspecting and proofreading all content, including text, art, and color, to ensure accuracy before the product is released for the next steps in the project lifecycle. The position requires executing both digital and analogue techniques to confirm that the final product complies with project standards, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements, while also ensuring timely delivery of production requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts or related field preferred.
• 4 years of previous graphic arts or related experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, time management, project management, and planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analysis and interpretation.
• Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships with peers and clients.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Attends project or production meetings to understand project specifications.
• Establishes high quality standards for production processes and client deliverables.
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of high-quality artwork using industry-standard software and techniques.
• Reads and applies customer, legal, and regulatory specifications accurately.
• Performs tasks according to work order specifications and company SOPs.
• Maintains accurate records of project status and quality issues in the project tracking system.
• Meets quality standards for deliverables and recommends improvements to management.
• Supports profitability efforts by ensuring quality standards are met.
