  • Leads and manages day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple or enterprise scale projects.
  • Identifies, evaluates, and resolves issues that conflict with project deliverables.
  • Collaborates closely with project team members, business owners, and sponsors to develop and implement projects/programs.
  • Assesses project risks and develops mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Oversees projects to ensure they have required resources and meet milestones.
  • Develops project plans and recommendations in support of departmental/company objectives.
  • Tracks and reports on the status of projects.
  • Negotiates for resources to staff projects effectively with appropriate skill sets.
  • Delegates work as required and ensures a quality end product through close customer contact.
  • Coordinates development and implementation of policies and procedures and compliance measurements.
  • Controls and monitors project effectiveness and updates project plans as necessary.
  • Represents BCBSNC in meetings with external parties including consultants and vendors.
  • Assists with analysis and development of business processes to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Develops escalation processes to channel issues and concerns to appropriate parties.
  • Evaluates project risks and develops contingency plans as the project progresses.
  • Documents and presents project management results through various reports and evaluations.
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required).
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field, or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
