About The Position

The Sr. Project Procurement Oversight Manager will support our Federal Government client in Oak Ridge, TN. The DOE/NRC Criticality Safety Support for Commercial-Scale HALEU Fuel Cycles and Transport (DNCSH) project is a collaborative effort between the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or 'The Commission'), as mandated by the 2020 Energy Act and the Inflation Reduction Act. This project is part of the overarching initiative to facilitate the availability of High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium for a range of civilian applications, including research, development, and commercial purposes. The project's focus is on establishing new criticality benchmark data for commercial-scale nuclear energy, crucial for the regulation and licensing of facilities handling special nuclear material and the certification of transportation packages for such materials, as outlined in the federal regulations.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required to perform this SOW.
• Experience in project management and oversight in a federal government context.
• Knowledge of nuclear energy regulations and licensing processes.
• Ability to develop and manage execution plans including cost, schedule, scope, and risk.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution planning and management of the DNCSH project phases: stand-up, execution, and closure.
• Engage with the Oversight Team to confirm that the lead laboratories' execution planning is reasonable and achievable.
• Manage milestones, long lead items, contracts, and agreements related to the project.
• Address pinchpoints associated with constrained supply chains for transportation package availability and facility storage canisters.
• Identify and manage general project risks and institutional technical readiness.
