About The Position

At ATC, our Field Specialists play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality transmission projects that power communities across the region. You’ll be trusted to operate independently in the field, partnering with project teams to ensure materials, construction activities, and documentation align with plan—before small issues become big risks.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in transmission or distribution construction or similar utility environments
Hands-on experience supporting substation or overhead/underground transmission projects
Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Field-first mindset with a preference for boots-on-the-ground verification
Detail-oriented with the ability to catch discrepancies early
Independent, organized, and trusted to manage multiple job sites
Strong communicator who translates field observations into actionable insights
Risk-aware and safety-focused, willing to speak up when something doesn’t look right

Nice To Haves

OSHA 30 Certification
Experience with Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or field data collection tools
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools for documentation and reporting

Responsibilities

Own material receipting by verifying deliveries, quantities, and condition of materials on job sites
Conduct visual inspections and document non-conformances to ensure quality and compliance
Perform field observations, comparing contractor labor and equipment plans to actual site conditions
Monitor and report consumable usage to support accurate project tracking
Complete and submit field documentation including checklists, non-conformance reports, and status updates
Collaborate with ATC project teams to understand observation scope and reporting expectations
Champion safety by participating in safety conversations and escalating unsafe conditions promptly
