About The Position

Sr. Project Manager –This candidate will provide overall management of personnel working in a technical Research and Development (R&D) environment. Research and Development environment includes Safety Detection, Mitigation, and Airport Applications of Drone, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Counter UAS drone/UAS/Counter UAS safety detection, mitigation, and applications in airport environments. This candidate will be responsible for performing the day-to-day and long-term project planning, scheduling and reporting of the work to be performed by the drone pilots, RF engineers, technicians and administrative support staff under the requirements of multiple active task orders. They will be responsible for attending weekly and monthly meetings with the customer, PM, COR and staff. Primary Responsibilities and Skills Proven leadership skills with a diverse team of highly talented professionals. Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects or tasks, including contract and subcontractor management. Proficient in Microsoft tools, Teams and Outlook. Participate in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, task order and administrative reporting. Conduct planning and provide recommendations to FAA customer on task workload. Manage risk tracking processes. Attend leadership meetings and serve as FAA customer liaison. Interact with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff on behalf of the customer. Coordinate development of technical reports and deliverables and products. Ensure quality assurance of project deliverables as well as and corrective action for future tasks. Participate in special projects as required. Advantageous if candidate is experienced in planning tools, budgeting, technical and financial reports. FAA experience is a plus Airport or Aviation experience is a plus SCOPE: Manage teams focused on multiple task orders with medium complexity.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership skills with a diverse team of highly talented professionals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools, Teams and Outlook.
  • BA/BS degree and 15+ years Program Management or Project Management work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced in planning tools, budgeting, technical and financial reports.
  • FAA experience is a plus
