As the Senior Project Manager you will plan, execute, and finalize construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will need to be a well-organized and detail-oriented individual that is capable of scheduling and multitasking simultaneously while managing projects to completion. Compensation aspects of the role are dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience.

  • Ability to pass MVR check (if applicable) or must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects or training.
  • Degree in related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience preferred.
  • Experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects including healthcare, medical gas, educational, institutional, military and others preferred.
  • Management of projects ranging in size and scope preferred.
  • Experienced with project cost to complete, project financials and project close outs.
  • OSHA 10/30 Hour preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical or Plumbing license encouraged but not preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee commercial mechanical and/or plumbing construction projects to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design specifications, budget, and schedule.
  • Review contracts for scope and contract value accuracy.
  • Responsible for all project documentation and communication.
  • Participate in bid turnover meeting from estimating.
  • Review project plans and specifications, build project schedules, make recommendations of potential cost-saving measures, and identify potential construction problems.
  • Complete job cost breakdowns, schedule of values, and review / approve project billings.
  • Work with general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to coordinate project schedules, RFIs and change orders.
  • Order mechanical and/or plumbing materials as required and ensure delivery in accordance to project schedules.
  • Secure bonds, permits, local licenses or corporate letters of guarantee as required.
  • Coordinate and procure all necessary rental equipment and job trailers.
  • Review all shop drawings and 3D models for accuracy.
  • Promote and coordinate prefabrication.
  • Assist with estimating and budgeting on a as needed basis.
  • Coordinate with field superintendents on manpower needs, adjusting as needed.
  • Lead internal Kickoff and Kickfinish meetings.
  • Attend client led pre-construction and post construction meetings.
  • Manage multiple projects varying in scope simultaneously.
  • Continuous communication with upper management, office personnel, GC, owner, and others as needed.
  • Work within a team environment.
  • Complete all required documentation electronically.
  • Assist with collections as needed.
  • Review and approve project costs.
  • Prepare and submit all required close out documents.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of construction business legal principles.
  • Maintain an understanding of holistically implementing business strategy to benefit the overall business model.
  • Organize and motivate a project team.
  • Analyze and manage underlying project risk.
  • Ability to forecast requirements; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of construction accounting principles, WIP, Backlog, finance, and financial strategy.
  • Be an example of company culture.
  • Lead appropriate strategies for achieving goals.
  • Mentor Leadership to teams.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.
