About The Position

As Senior Project Manager, you'll serve as the primary client relationship owner and delivery leader for 3-5 concurrent enterprise projects with budgets ranging from $250K to $2M+. You'll lead cross-functional teams of 8-15 strategists, designers, and developers through the full project lifecycle—from discovery to launch and beyond. Your ability to balance exceptional client service with operational rigor will directly impact both client success and agency profitability. Client Focus: Financial services sector experience strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years in digital project management within an agency or professional services environment
  • Proven track record managing 2-3 enterprise-level clients with projects valued at $500K+
  • Experience with enterprise CMS implementations (Optimizely, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager, or WordPress at scale)
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex projects involving UX design, web development, SEO/SEM, analytics, and digital strategy
  • Financial services, banking, or fintech industry experience highly advantageous
  • Expert-level knowledge of project management tools: Smartsheet, JIRA, Asana, etc.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), and digital best practices
  • Experience with collaboration tools: Confluence, Miro, Figma, Slack, Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with budget forecasting and resource management systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Solutions-oriented approach that inspires teams and drives innovation
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to build rapport, manage expectations, and navigate difficult conversations
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of project profitability, margin management, and commercial drivers

Nice To Haves

  • PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience leading distributed/remote teams
  • Background in accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms and analytics tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional project teams (Strategy, UX, Creative, Technology) through Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Serve as primary client liaison and daily point of contact for strategic accounts
  • Manage 5 - 10 concurrent projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining target profit margins
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, sprint planning, stakeholder reviews, and retrospectives
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, resources, budget, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Manage change control processes and proactively address scope creep
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with C-level stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and drive follow-on revenue
  • Contribute to new business proposals, including scope definition, estimation, and resource planning
  • Participate in pitch presentations and RFP responses
  • Translate business objectives into actionable project strategies
  • Track project financials, burn rates, and profitability metrics using project management systems
  • Identify, document, and escalate risks and issues with recommended mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure seamless integration
  • Contribute to agency-wide resource planning and capacity management
  • Report project health and progress to senior leadership and clients through dashboards and status updates
  • Mentor junior project managers and team members
  • Champion PM best practices and process improvements across the organization
  • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and methodologies
