External applicants must be eligible to work in the US. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our Innovation Project and Portfolio Management team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in supporting the development and launch of new products within Process Solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-7+ years of experience in life sciences, chemistry, engineering, business or related field
  • Experience in project management in a global matrix organization.
  • Formal project management training
  • Experience with a structured stage-gate product development process
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver management reviews and updates at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across boundaries, and influence without direct authority
  • Ability to identify critical issues from varying points of view and drives the team to make timely, high-quality decisions
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project, MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in life sciences, chemistry, engineering, business or related field
  • Proven ability to lead complex, global, cross-functional projects/programs to successful completion
  • PMP certification
  • Experience managing external partners

Responsibilities

  • Lead new product development projects/programs applying project management best practices to meet time, quality, and cost requirements.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and Sponsors.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through project phases from concept to launch, incorporating lessons learned and ensuring alignment with company values.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans covering design, development, validation, and commercialization activities, manage project priorities with core team members.
  • Define and assign roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities to support successful project execution.
  • Initiate and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project scope and obtain Sponsors approval for any changes.
  • Collaborate with project team to proactively identify project risks, assess probability and impact, and develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize risk impact throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track project progress and report status to stakeholders and Sponsors regularly to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance, flexibility, and agility with internal Product Development Processes.
  • Continually explores new avenues for improving the product development process and the overall quality of the output.
  • Facilitate fact-based decision making by clearly presenting scenarios and outlining actionable options.
  • Foster a positive team environment by promoting psychological safety, encouraging open communication, and by resolving conflicts promptly.
  • Work independently with considerable latitude to establish priorities, guide activities, and direct the project team toward meeting completion dates.
