About The Position

Our Ports & Maritime team is seeking a Senior Project Manager based in the Virginia Beach area to deliver complex maritime infrastructure development and coastal resilience projects from planning through construction and will have exposure to our global portfolio of projects and design resources. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll have responsibility to plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality of work product, consistency across projects, and staff safety. You will also coordinate with subcontractors and internal support staff and subject matter experts. In addition to managing the project financials, delivery, and client relationship, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, architects, and scientists to deliver complex projects across the Hampton Roads region and beyond. You will also assist in local marketing and business development, tracking of future project opportunities, lead the preparation of proposals and participate in interviews and presentations. Working together, we'll help you grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future - big and small, global and local. You will play a key role in the growth of our Ports and Maritime practice in Virginia and beyond.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or related Engineering.
• At least 12 years of experience in the management of waterfront infrastructure projects.
• Experience in the design and design management of waterfront projects and facilities.
• Ability to work with a team of local and remote multi-disciplinary engineers, design managers, and subject matter experts.
• Ability to manage the successful delivery of contract documents, design basis, technical specifications, and other client deliverables.
• Substantial experience in the preparation of technical and cost proposals.
• Good communication skills and ability to interface with clients and stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Virginia or ability to apply for reciprocity.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with cost estimating and services during construction.
• Existing client relationships with port authorities and/or other organizations involved in the development of waterfront or coastal resilience projects.
