Overview As McKesson separates its Medical-Surgical business unit into a new independent entity, we are seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional efforts that support compliance and regulatory readiness. This role will focus on projects related to controlled substances and (Drug Supply Chain Security Act) DSCSA, ensuring that new operational capabilities meet legal and regulatory standards while legacy dependencies are responsibly retired . The ideal candidate brings deep experience in regulatory coordination, strong project leadership, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in compliance, regulatory affairs, or transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong understanding of DSCSA, controlled substance regulations, and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet and Excel, with a strong ability to craft compelling narratives using PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations across compliance functions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage interdependencies, and resolve issues related to regulatory obligations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and ensure stakeholder engagement across impacted teams.
  • Collaborate with the internal transformation office and external partners to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and governance bodies on compliance progress and risks.
  • Lead planning and execution of compliance-related projects tied to the separation initiative.
  • Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and operational teams to ensure alignment with federal and state requirements.
  • Support audits, inspections, and readiness assessments for controlled substances and DSCSA compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for regulatory workstreams.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for internal governance and external regulatory bodies.
