About The Position

As a Sr. Project Manager, Furniture & Styling within the Brand Environments Team, your job duties are to craft effective work-streams, manage external vendors, work cross functionally and support organizing your team. You build strategy and process; allowing creative talent freedom to explore ideas while making sure the team meets deadlines, adheres to budget and creates a strong project. You will establish fluidity between our cross-functional partners within Rivian Facilities, Purchasing, Operations and Construction providing a solid foundation for the Environments team to work more efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and is an outstanding creative problem solver. This role acts as a key member of the Furniture & Styling group, while also providing program management support to the broader Environments team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project leadership, process management or similar project management experience in Construction, Hospitality, Retail, Interior Design, Furniture or Millwork Industry.
  • A college degree in architecture, interior design, business management, furniture dealership, or directly related field.
  • Demonstrated the ability to analyze, evaluate and report on the tasks at hand.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with an ability to juggle multiple projects in various phases.
  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements for project workflow and team collaboration.
  • A high-level of confidence and professionalism, ability to foster teamwork, and build business relationships.
  • Technology driven — proficient with Microsoft Office 365 / Google Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FF&E purchasing helpful.
  • Knowledge of Coupa Procurement System, Jira and Figma a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate cross functional efforts with Rivian Finance, Legal, and Purchasing teams.
  • Identify new vendor partners and relationships through qualification processes in partnership with Purchasing.
  • Spearhead collaboration with Standards, Retail Operations, Facilities, Gear Shop and Experiential Marketing teams.
  • Provide tactical administrative support: surface blockers to Furniture & Styling initiatives and liaise with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Lead oversight of project health throughout its full lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Accountable for project management of ongoing projects, and administrative support.
  • Partner with Rivian's Procurement team on all FF&E procurement.
  • Write playbooks that outline business procedural steps, programmatic learnings, or project standards.
  • Incubate and organize one-off projects, define work streams responding to needs each one-off project requires.
  • Attend and oversee the final implementation of delivery/installation of furniture.
