About The Position

TRC is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer/Project Manager to support our engineering practice in New York City. The position requires a strong technical background in environmental and remediation engineering design, construction and operation, and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field of study
  • 10-15 years' experience with remediation engineering/consulting firms
  • Remediation system design, construction oversight and operation and maintenance experience
  • Skills in budgeting, scheduling, procurement and coordination of teams of contractors
  • Technical project expertise in environmental investigations, remediation, environmental compliance
  • In-field experience performing remediation work
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current annual refresher

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform remediation system design work
  • Develop and track multiple project budgets, scopes and schedules for regulatory submittals and other consulting documents
  • Work well with dynamic project teams
  • Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of deliverables related to projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others, and are responsible for implementation of the firms' quality procedures at project and task levels
  • Prepare and review technical documents, reports and engineering designs, ensuring quality and consistent delivery of materials
  • Develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees
  • Prioritize health and safety
  • Maintain a billable hour utilization target
  • Work to cross-sell TRC services and increase business
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, and deliver responsive, high-quality services
  • Have strong communications skills, both written and oral
