About The Position

This is a hybrid role in the Massachusetts area. As Senior Project Manager in the Project Management Office (PMO), you will lead and manage the planning, scoping, design, and implementation of electric distribution projects across Massachusetts. You will act as the central point of contact and driving force, ensuring projects run smoothly from inception through engineering, procurement, construction, and closeout while meeting all schedule, budget, quality, and client requirements. We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager that will be at the heart of the client’s projects, working through day-to-day obstacles to ensure that the overall project runs smoothly from start to finish. Your day will involve working with the project team to drive project deliverables, coordinating with various departments to answer questions from the project team and client, reporting out on scope, financials, milestones, and timelines, and keeping the overall project on track and on budget. The key responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager include the following but not limited to: Project Leadership: Manage the full life cycle of electric distribution projects, driving deliverables and ensuring high quality results. Financial & Schedule Management: Monitor and report on project schedules, budgets, and expenditures to meet time-sensitive financial targets. Coordination: Host reoccurring project meetings, drive action items across various departments, and provide guidance to budget forecasting and P6 scheduling teams. Stakeholder Management: Establish strong communication channels with clients, internal leadership, external partners, and regulatory agencies. Resource & Procurement: Determine resource allocation and collaborate with procurement to evaluate and select engineering and construction contractors. Risk & Compliance: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and utility codes. Client & Quality Expectation: Learn the client’s standardized process that outlines tiered project progression from inception through execution while incorporating company SOPs. Performance Tracking: Utilize KPIs to monitor project performance and adjust approach as necessary to meet objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous experience in project management, electrical engineering, or a related role.
  • 10-15 years of experience with utilities, electrical system design, installation, and/or maintenance projects.
  • Must be a curious and active listener, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative with a continuous learning mindset.
