Compensation range: $ 124,771.42 - $ 142,595.91 Annually The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications. Benefits: 15 days of PTO 9 Paid holidays Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance 401k + Employer Match Paid Parental Leave Wellness App with reimbursement of up to $500 per year Profit Sharing Position Summary Location: Seattle, WA (on-site) Hours: Day Shift, Monday - Friday The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and supporting audio-visual, structured cabling, and security/access control systems for projects such as conference rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, control rooms, digital signage installations, campus/office/data center network infrastructure deployments, and security/access systems. This role works closely with project managers, clients, and installation teams to ensure functional systems are delivered on time, within budget, and according to technical requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical, IT, or related field
  • Strong understanding of AV systems and network support (audio, video, control, networking)
  • Complex knowledge of AV equipment such as displays, projectors, microphones, DSPs, codecs, and control systems and associated industry best practices and continuums
  • Ability to read and create technical drawings (AutoCAD or similar tools)
  • Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts (IP addressing, switches, VLANs) related to the deployment of advanced commercial AV systems
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 10 years of direct experience with manufacturers such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Cisco, Poly, Comnscope/Systimax, Panduit, Superior Essex, Ortronics, etc.
  • AV certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I) and Division 27 certifications (Cisco, CommScope/Systimax, BICSI/RCDD, and ACT are a plus
  • Minimum of 10 year direct industry experience in corporate, education, hospitality, or government technical projects

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer technical systems including audio, video, control, conferencing, predictive indexes, elevations, pathway diagrams, and network topology solutions
  • Create system drawings, schematics, and signal flow diagrams
  • Select appropriate equipment and materials based on project needs and budget
  • Prepare technical documentation, bill of materials (BOM), and scope of work
  • Support project managers during project execution
  • Provide technical guidance to installation and commissioning teams
  • Configure, program, and test systems (e.g., DSPs, control systems, video switching, ethernet line certification, security coverage and access parameters)
  • Lead system testing, troubleshooting, and final commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications
  • Lead client meetings and technical reviews
  • Provide post-installation technical support and system optimization
