About The Position

The Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical at MSA Professionals Services will be responsible for overseeing mechanical and plumbing system designs for various projects, ensuring they meet client needs and regulatory standards. This role involves project management, client communication, and mentoring junior staff, contributing to impactful community projects from inception to completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 6+ years of prior mechanical and/or plumbing design experience as an engineering MEP consultant or plumbing contractor required.
• WI Professional Engineer license required.
• Experience with architectural projects such as schools, municipal buildings, health care facilities, and commercial buildings required.
• Prior experience coordinating a project from start to finish with contractors, clients, and other disciplines preferred.
• Prior project management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical and plumbing systems including calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selections, specifications, and coordination.
• Perform fire protection scope of work design specification and layout.
• Conduct code reviews and shop drawing submittal reviews and processing.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Communicate with clients at all levels to support existing projects and develop new ones.
• Manage projects and serve as a client liaison.
• Assist in mentoring junior technicians and engineers.
