Why You Will Love this Job The Senior Project Engineer serves as a hands-on manufacturing/process engineer supporting Home Energy production lines. In this role, you will improve processes, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and support product and process changes to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will work closely with operations, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues at the source, drive cost-out activities, and ensure strong equipment uptime and robust, repeatable processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Applied Science/Applied Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of production manufacturing or process engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience applying Lean tools (A3, VSM, PFMEA, standard work).
  • Strong Excel skills: Power BI or analytics tools preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support process and continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Use data and Lean tools (A3, 5 Whys, PFMEA, VSM, standard work) to analyze issues and implement solutions.
  • Support product and process change projects and collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Prepare project plans including timelines, scope, resources, and cost estimates.
  • Provide on-the-floor troubleshooting and technical support to production teams.
  • Deliver clear communication and presentations to leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Support compliance with applicable product and environmental requirements.
  • Mentor interns or early-career engineers as needed.
