In close collaboration with the field sales team (Sales Manager, Data Center), the Senior Project Engineer - Data Center Sales is responsible for supporting data center customers with specification reviews, project quotations, legal reviews, and submittal creation for new opportunities. The Senior Project Engineer - Data Center Sales shall assist in design and submittal review meetings along with site support for custom application integration. The responsibility of the Senior Project Engineer - Data Center Sales, is to work cross-functionally within the Rehlko organization to create a winning solution for our customers that is on time and exceeding expectations.

  • Work in collaboration with the Data Center Sales Managers and the Account Managers, as an internal technical resource, subject matter expert and liaison.
  • Manages pre-sales requests for proposals from field sales and prepares quotations. Quotes include information on proposed products, specification compliance statements, project timelines and purchase agreements.
  • Work with end users, distribution partners and third-party suppliers.
  • Capable of reviewing and executing compliance, deviation and exceptions (CDE) for customer specifications and print packages.
  • Coordinates project meetings with internal Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and Sales departments for large complex quotes and projects and External stakeholders.
  • Work with the Accounting department with regards to pricing, terms, profit targets, audits.
  • Work with Rehlko legal to review overall compliance of documentation and contract negotiation.
  • Upon receipt of order, review for completeness, and support all customer interface from submittal data to final acceptance.
  • Compile, create and deliver detailed project submittals as per project order criteria to Sales Managers.
  • Follow-up on project submittals.
  • Provide project status reports to customers.
  • Upon receipt of approved and signed submittal package, Project Engineer shall coordinate the transition with the Account Manager and the release of all project documentation, i.e. submittals, for manufacturing.
  • Prepares and conducts Rehlko professional and technical seminars for Consulting Engineers, Distributors and with Sales Managers relating to technical matters on the Rehlko product line with emphasis on the Data Center Segment.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline from an ABET accredited engineering program required
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in technical quoting, reading engineering drawings and project specifications and working with product lines of similar technical complexity.
  • Leadership skills and demonstrated ability to build teams, make sound decisions, and drive action cross functionally.
  • Demonstrated people skills required to lead & motivate professionals in a matrix organization who are not direct reports.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong Working knowledge and proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, etc) and Adobe Pro.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
