Position Summary The Senior Project Controls Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight for all project controls functions across multiple projects or large-scale programs. This role manages Cost Engineers, Project Controls Managers and Field Office Managers (FOMs), ensuring consistency in cost control, scheduling, change management, risk mitigation, and reporting. The position is accountable for strategic planning, compliance with corporate standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in project controls, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Expert knowledge of cost control, scheduling, procurement, and risk management principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and ERP systems.

  • Oversight of Cost Engineers, Document Control Administrators, and related staff.
  • Responsible for performance evaluations, mentoring, and professional development of team members.

  • Track and identify scope changes
  • Lead and mentor Project Engineers, Project Controls Managers and Field Office Managers to achieve departmental goals.
  • Develop and enforce project controls policies, procedures, and best practices across all projects.
  • Oversee cost engineering, scheduling, procurement, and change order management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly reports, forecasts, and close-out documentation.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Review and approve subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders and compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate with corporate departments including Risk Mitigation, Legal, Accounting, and Insurance for contract administration.
  • Support project teams in bidder selection, contract negotiations, and M/WBE compliance.
  • Resolve disputes and claims in partnership with legal and project leadership.
