About The Position

Amazon Freight is building a disruptive transportation product with the vision of redefining shipping for its customers. The goal is to develop easy-to-use, reliable and transparent transportation services that raise the customer experience bar relative to all existing shipping alternatives. In doing this, Amazon is deeply studying customer shipping needs and building innovative, market-leading solutions that will organically attract customers towards our services. To enable us to succeed in this large endeavor, we are looking for a Sr. Program Manager to play a critical role in identifying shortage within the supply chain, produce reporting for shortages, root cause those details and put preventative measure in place for Amazon Freight. This individual will be tasked with partnering across several internal and external partner teams to drive a best-in-class solution for preventing shortages or reacting quickly to recover value for our customers. This will include having firm timelines with stakeholders and working backwards from the end goal. Main areas of ownership include: (1) partnering with internal Amazon teams on best practices, (2) building mechanisms that enable best-in-class shortage tracking, (3) conducting analyses to determine root cause, and (4) scaling mechanisms to drive a reduction in Amazon Freight's network shortage and time to detect shortage.
