As a Senior Program Manager, you will serve as the Core Team Operations Representative (CTOR), recognized as the operations project leader in the Medtronic Cardiac and Vascular Group (MCS) on new product introduction (NPI) project core teams. This role involves providing leadership to an extended project team that includes individuals from various functions such as Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Category Management, Sourcing, Contract Manufacturers/OEM, Supplier Quality, and others. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the successful development and commercialization of new products, ensuring that all operations aspects are effectively managed, including value stream selection, planning, execution, and implementation of activities related to product development. You will be responsible for all operations activities and deliverables in product development planning and execution. This includes overseeing the overall value stream development and process responsibility from technology through market release. You will lead the manufacturing and supply chain schedule risk burn down, define and meet operations objectives such as Labor, Burden, Material, Cycle Time, Capacity, Yield, and Process Ppk. Additionally, you will lead cross-functional teams through the product development process to ensure successful completion of development projects and business goals. Your role will also involve establishing and implementing operational plans and strategies, driving operations program schedules, scope, materials, resources, expenditures, and funding. As the CTOR, you will be responsible for developing, communicating, and documenting project strategies and plans, including the operations budget and detailed schedule creation and maintenance. You will champion and document the Voice of Operations, ensuring that quality policies and systems are planned, understood, implemented, and maintained. You will coordinate development builds across value streams and ensure alignment between operations and the core team. Your leadership will extend to decision-making regarding facility locations, make-buy decisions, and business continuity, while ensuring that Design for Reliability and Manufacturing (DRM) is consistently applied. You will facilitate launch build planning, capacity planning, and execution, as well as Commercialization Readiness activities. Indirect people management and development will also be part of your responsibilities, as you actively coach and mentor the extended operations team, demonstrating leadership through influence in a matrixed organization.
