Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) mission is to provide tools, resources, and environments that support safe, efficient, and healthy behaviors and encourage employees to proactively manage their health and well being. To support this focus area, Amazon is seeking a leader to serve as our Program Manager for Worldwide WHS to build programs that create a safe workplace and build a world-class safety culture. In this role, you will dive deep into operations processes; identify risks through data and first-hand experience; build programs and improve processes to eliminate risks; and influence operations to sustain a culture of safety. This role will focus on leading large, strategic projects within Amazon Business Units (BU) and across different geographies – the role will also look for ways to replicate these BU-specific solutions to other BU, and find commonalities to support scale and speed. The Sr. Program manager role will challenge you to push boundaries and lead transformative innovation while having the autonomy to make rapid data-driven decisions and invent on behalf of Operators (leaders) and Associates. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with members from various teams, including Operations; Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT); Amazon Robotics (AR); Inbound Supply Chain; Launch; Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP); Capacity Planning; Finance and others to deploy solutions at scale. This position requires travel up to approximately 25%, when needed (and with appropriate health and safety conditions).

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation Logistics, or related field.
  • Experience with end-to-end program management experience driving operational or supply chain process improvements that yield high returns.
  • 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience.
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • 5+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
  • Experience of Six Sigma/ Lean analytical techniques.
