About The Position

Amazon is seeking a Program Manager who is passionate about Operations, has strong bias for action, and has experience leading multi-organizational projects. We are seeking a Program Manager who can drive organizational changes through global communication strategy, messaging, and adoption. This role requires the ability to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and a passion for solving complex, ambiguous problems. The right candidate will be able to see beyond short-term impact and prioritize the solutions which will secure long-term success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects for cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a new feature, service, product, or system.
  • Gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, identify appropriate resources needed, assemble the right project team, assign individual responsibilities, and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project.
  • Contribute cross-functional business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints.
  • Develop and/or influence new ideas and approaches.
  • Establish procedures, plans and practices which promote the adoption of appropriate solutions and sustainability of desired results in complex operational environments.
  • Develop strategies to enhance decision making.
  • Ensure that effective controls are developed and maintained across the organization.
  • Take corrective action, as appropriate.
  • Drive and facilitate moderately complex projects; focus on results and measuring attainment of outcomes.
  • Report on progress of multiple projects, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Coordinate Quality Assurance plan, baselining metrics, setting and monitoring goals.
  • Build and document the SOP specific to the investigation and quality assurance processes, and work to deploy globally.
