The AWS Health & Safety team is building a centralized program management capability designed to support scalable, sustainable safety programs across multiple business functions. We are seeking experienced Senior Program Managers to join a growing team responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-level safety and operational programs. This role is part of a multi-workstream program team responsible for delivering high-impact programs that improve operational consistency, strengthen compliance, and drive continuous improvement across AWS environments. Senior Program Managers hired into this role will be assigned to strategic focus areas based on business priorities and individual strengths. A typical day in this role blends strategic planning, operational execution, and stakeholder engagement. You may begin the day reviewing dashboards or program health indicators to assess progress against key milestones, identify emerging risks, and prioritize work across active initiatives. From there, you might facilitate working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to align on program requirements or remove execution barriers. Throughout the day, you will balance building new mechanisms with sustaining existing programs. This may include developing standardized workflows, refining documentation, coordinating implementation activities, or analyzing operational feedback to improve program performance. Some days will focus on launching new initiatives, such as piloting a new process or rolling out standardized programs across teams. Other days may focus on strengthening governance, improving reporting accuracy, or resolving program risks. Regular engagement with partners across safety, operations, compliance, and leadership teams is expected to: Drive alignment across teams Monitor program adoption and performance Identify operational gaps Build scalable solutions Communicate progress and risks to leadership AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
