About The Position

UPMC's Warren Primary Care is excited to welcome a Sr. Professional Staff Nurse to our growing office, home to two full‑time primary care providers dedicated to exceptional patient care. This role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your profession while contributing to a collaborative, supportive, and evolving outpatient environment. Prior outpatient office experience is preferred but not required, making this a great fit for both seasoned nurses and those eager to expand their skills. This full-time position will work Monday through Friday and has a varying schedule as follows, with some flexibility: Monday - 7:00am to 6:00pm, Tuesday - 7:30am to 4:00pm, Wednesday - 7:30am to 12:30pm, Thursday - 7:30am to 4:00pm, Friday - 7:30am to 4:00pm Eligible candidates may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $6000. Title and starting pay rate of this position may vary based on years of experience.

Requirements

The individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and/or interact appropriately to the ages of the patients served by his/her assigned unit as specified below.
They must also demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needs as described in the department policy and procedures.
Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
Rating of solid/strong/good or higher on most recent performance evaluation.
UPMC approved national certification OR master's degree or higher in Nursing required.
UPMC Professional Contribution required.
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in practicing state.
CPR Certification.
UPMC Professional Contribution required
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
