About The Position

UPMC Northwest is hiring a full-time Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our dynamic, fast-paced team. Requirements

  • 2+ years of RN experience required; ED/pre-hospital preferred.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of patient care and appropriate interactions based on patient age.
  • Understanding of principles of growth and development across the lifespan and ability to assess and interpret age-specific needs.
  • Ability to establish positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, support staff, and patients/families.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills in patient care.
  • Mobility, visual manual dexterity, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning patients.

  • Takes personal responsibility for improving patient satisfaction and care experiences.
  • Applies research and evidence-based practices to clinical decision-making and care planning.
