Requirements

Experience: 2+ years of RN experience required; ED/pre-hospital preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Must demonstrate knowledge of patient care and appropriate interactions based on patient age
Growth & Development: Understanding of principles of growth and development across the lifespan and ability to assess and interpret age-specific needs.
Relationship Building: Ability to establish positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, support staff, and patients/families.
Clinical Judgment: Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills in patient care.
Physical Requirements: Mobility, visual manual dexterity, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning patients.
Flexible Shifts: UPMC offers flexible shift options, including night and weekend shifts with premium pay. Employees must have at least 6 months of nursing experience to qualify for these programs. Alert Recruiter: If interested in flexible shift options, notify your recruiter during the interview.
Current RN License
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) w/in 1 year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) w/in 60 days of hire
NIH Stroke Scale (NIH) w/in 6 months of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) w/in 1 year of hire
Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
