The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a full-time Sr. Professional Research Assistant or Research Associate to join the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, specifically within the Center for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. This position is pivotal as the successful candidate will serve as the overall manager responsible for the research operations of the Center. The Center is equipped with a diverse array of analytical instruments utilized for characterizing protein and antibody formulations, protein subunit and mRNA vaccines, gene and cell therapies, and other innovative biologics. The role involves extensive collaboration, training, and supervision of academic users, including students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty members. Additionally, the manager will engage closely with the pharmaceutical industry on contract projects, ensuring that various project deadlines are met efficiently. The position entails a variety of responsibilities, including the selection and acquisition of new equipment, maintenance of existing equipment, and coordination with users of the Center. The successful applicant will also be responsible for administrative tasks such as procurement, invoicing, marketing, communications, and report writing. The role is designed for individuals who are not only skilled in analytical techniques but also possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, as they will be required to manage both people and projects effectively. The successful candidate will be expected to independently and collaboratively perform experiments, utilizing a range of analytical techniques such as Circular Dichroism Spectroscopy, Fluorescence Spectroscopy, and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography, among others.
