About The Position

As a Sr. Production Test Engineer (PTE) you’ll support both the manufacturing test teams and the program they are assigned to support across all make centers where testing is performed and you’ll cover all phases of the product life cycle, including product development, transition to production, sustained production, depot activities and end of contract equipment closeout and dispositioning. In this role, you’ll support creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence and you’ll ensure compliance of the prime hardware to technical data package requirements and supporting test equipment. This is a 2nd Shift Job. This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Huntsville, AL facility.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing production environment
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.
  • Ability to obtain interim Secret U.S government issued security clearance is required prior to start date

Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of the program test equipment obsolescence plan.
  • Overall capacity plan for test equipment.
  • Supporting make center PTE’s to reduce test time, improve the test process through preliminary investigation and problem resolution of trends, failure modes and test yields.
  • Developing test flows and contributing to test capacity analysis.
  • Maintaining changes to the test equipment technical data package including drawings, test instructions, test position manuals and system software.
  • Assisting in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
  • Leading root cause and corrective action investigations and presenting findings.
  • Performing risk assessments and supporting program risk register reviews.
  • Leading projects.
