About The Position

We are currently seeking a candidate for our Sr. Product Regulatory Specialist position. This role will be an on-site role at our Clinton, TN location. Job Purpose: The Senior Product Regulatory Specialist handles the day‑to‑day regulatory work that supports Techmer PM’s raw materials and finished products. This role is expected to independently manage complex or high‑volume regulatory requests and support less experienced team members through knowledge sharing and best practices The position works closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure regulatory requirements are understood, documented, and met in support of product approvals, customer needs, and ongoing compliance.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting plastics, compounds, and raw materials.
  • Familiarity with GHS/CLP labeling and SDS requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
  • Ability to research, interpret, and summarize regulatory requirements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, product stewardship, or related technical roles.
  • Experience working with suppliers and customer regulatory requests.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in chemistry, polymer science, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Raw Material Regulatory Management Review and maintain raw material regulatory information to ensure it is current and complete.
  • Request regulatory documentation from suppliers, follow up as needed, and maintain organized files.
  • Coordinate regulatory information requests with Purchasing, R&D, QA, and Technical Services.
  • Update regulatory information in ERP systems, including GHS classifications and labeling requirements.
  • Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Create and update SDS in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of GHS and CLP requirements and apply them appropriately to SDS content.
  • Ensure SDS documentation aligns with internal regulatory data and customer requirements.
  • Regulatory Documentation & Customer Support Support the creation and maintenance of product stewardship documents, including: Product Regulatory Data Sheets FDA letters EU REACH & SVHC statements ROHS compliance CA Prop 65 disclosures USMCA and other customer‑ or region‑specific regulatory statements
  • Research regulatory requirements and prepare clear, accurate regulatory statements.
  • Respond to customer regulatory requests accurately and within required timelines.
  • Customer & Cross‑Functional Interaction Participate in customer meetings as needed to support regulatory discussions and requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure consistent regulatory messaging and documentation.
  • Escalate regulatory risks, gaps, or uncertainties to the Regulatory & Technical Service Manager as appropriate.
