What You'll Do Ensure electrical systems, avionics components, wiring harnesses, and electrical assemblies meet design, quality, safety, regulatory, and industry-specific requirements. Work closely with electrical design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other departments to ensure smooth product transitions from design to production. Provide technical guidance on electrical quality-related issues. Support the development and roll out of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) techniques such as electrical system Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), control plans and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Lead the establishment of electrical system inspection plans Conduct or support First Article Inspection (FAI) in compliance with SAE AS9102 for electrical components and systems. Conduct or support Material Review Board dispositions for electrical components and nonconformances. Identify, lead, and support continuous improvement initiatives for electrical manufacturing processes, including root cause analysis of electrical failures and implementation of corrective/preventative actions. Develop metrics and KPIs to assess electrical system health and manufacturing process capability to drive continuous improvement. Identify potential electrical risks and work with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and develop contingency plans. Develop and support the training of team members and other stakeholders on electrical quality standards, testing practices, and tools. Assist in the planning and process for company inspection in support of FAA and Company conformity inspection and certification process.
