About The Position

The Sr Product Owner at Selective is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Commercial, Personal, or E&S products, ensuring high autonomy and authority throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves implementing change management, overseeing product documentation, and contributing to product strategy development while collaborating with various stakeholders to align product capabilities with business strategies.

  • Highly proficient ability to solve problems and make sound decisions
  • College degree preferred
  • 5+ years of business analysis experience
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance line of business role
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects from inception to implementation

Responsibilities

  • Understand the current state of product development and associated workflows and communication plans.
  • Translate product management narratives into user features to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Review, analyze, and approve testing plans for complex products.
  • Prepare timelines and prioritized work lists for the delivery team, focusing on business value.
  • Assess and represent development challenges throughout the product lifecycle, offering solutions and communicating concerns to stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to key stakeholders during the strategy, roll-out, and feedback lifecycle for products.
  • Collect and communicate feedback by incorporating Voice of the Customer input and evaluating customer feedback on product features.
  • Maintain information on competitive intelligence, industry trends, and consumer needs to ensure competitive advantage.
