At Layup Parts, our mission is simple: deliver composite parts faster. We’re not just another machine shop—we’re a technology-first manufacturing startup that’s revolutionizing how composite tooling and parts are made for the aerospace, defense, and motorsports industries. Our customers are developing tomorrow's high-tech products, and we are building technology to accelerate their success. We are looking for a Product Engineer, primarily focused on frontend, who can take features from early concept to production release. You’ll collaborate directly with founders, operations, and manufacturing teams to shape the tools enabling real-world production workflows, streamline internal processes, and deliver a great experience for both our team and customers.

  • Build clean, maintainable React + TypeScript interfaces for internal systems and customer-facing apps.
  • Own features end-to-end: requirements, design, implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration.
  • Partner directly with production, operations, and engineering to understand workflows and translate them into intuitive digital tools.
  • Contribute to our design system and build reusable components.
  • Integrate with backend APIs and participate in API design discussions.
  • Identify UX issues, propose improvements, and help shape product direction.
  • Be awesome! Be the kind of person you want to work with!
  • Experience in frontend, product or full-stack engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern component architecture.
  • Skilled in UX/UI design with Figma and capable of turning designs into polished interfaces.
  • Comfortable working directly with end users and owning features in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong eye for usability, clean UI, and thoughtful interaction design.
  • High autonomy, strong ownership mindset, and interest in understanding physical workflows.
  • Experience with MES, ERP, scheduling, or other internal operational tools.

  • Familiarity with backend technologies and languages (Go, Python, Node).
  • Experience with design systems or component libraries (MUI, Radix, Tailwind).
  • Exposure to data modeling, metrics, or analytics.
