We design simple and collaborative products that have the power to delight a highly technical audience. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the future of Databricks design. We’re looking for an experienced designer to create the next generation of Databricks experiences across our platform. You are a great fit if you have the ability to define a strategic vision and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to bring this vision to life. You will contribute to critical product areas, including Developer Experience (Notebooks), Data Governance (Unity Catalog), AI/Machine Learning, and Internal Tools. Your work will streamline how our users interact with, manage, and derive value from the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. You'll be working closely with the product and engineering teams based in SF/Seattle. The impact you will have: Design best-in-class user experiences across core areas of the Databricks platform. Help identify and establish common design patterns for a consistent platform experience. Drive product design for critical business areas at Databricks. Design and launch new experiences that simplify complex workflows for data practitioners and developers. Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and leadership to shape the future of our platform. Design intuitive user experiences that align with engineering best practices, simplifying complex workflows for our users. Explore new ways in which Generative AI can enhance the platform experience and developer workflows. Develop a deep understanding of Databricks business objectives, the cloud and big data space, its users, and competition. Conduct user research to identify customer needs and pain points related to data science and platform usage.
