  • Polish high-impact moments — Partner on features across the experience to raise the bar for visual quality
  • Ensure design integrity — Work closely with engineers to ensure components and features match visual specifications down to the pixel
  • Document and share — Maintain organized Figma libraries and documentation to make visual patterns easy for designers and engineers to adopt
  • Champion craft excellence — Advocate for accessibility, uphold platform-native best practices, and drive design cohesion across the product ecosystem
  • 4+ years of experience in UI/visual design for consumer products, with a strong emphasis on mobile-first experiences
  • Strong portfolio showcasing polished, scalable UI and design system contributions
  • Expertise in Figma (components, libraries, tokens) and fluency with platform-specific guidelines (Human Interface Guidelines, Material Design)
  • Deep understanding of typography, color, spacing, iconography, and accessibility best practices
  • Proven track record collaborating closely with engineers to deliver pixel-perfect execution
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and visual)
  • Strong illustration skills (e.g., icons, spot illustrations, visual metaphors) that can bring warmth and personality to our product experiences
  • Experience designing for education technology or other mission-driven products
  • Familiarity with motion design principles and how they enhance delight, interactions, and usability
  • Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $135,000 - $180,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options
  • 20 vacation days that we expect you to take!
  • Competitive health, dental, and vision insurance (100% employee and 75% dependent PPO, Dental, VSP Choice)
  • Employer-sponsored 401k plan with company match
  • Access to LinkedIn Learning and other resources to support professional growth
  • Paid Family Leave, FSA, HSA, Commuter benefits, and Wellness benefits
  • 40 hours of annual paid time off to participate in volunteer programs of choice
