About The Position

The Senior Product Data Specialist ensures the accuracy and efficient operation of our product catalog within HomeSource’s proprietary systems, including RPS, POS, and E-commerce platforms. This role focuses on maintaining product data, mapping vendor feeds into internal standards, auditing attributes and pricing, and troubleshooting catalog issues. In addition, the position contributes to process documentation, partners with IT on catalog system improvements, and supports business continuity by stepping in on key catalog tasks when needed. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with large datasets, and advanced technical capability. The ideal candidate brings strong Excel expertise, hands-on experience with PIM and/or ERP systems, and working SQL/database knowledge to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot product data across multiple environments.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in product catalog operations, merchandising, or data management.
  • Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleanup, large dataset manipulation).
  • Experience with PIM and/or ERP systems, catalog architecture, and data workflows.
  • Familiarity with SQL/database queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Experience working with structured data feeds (API, XML, CSV, FTP).
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Detail-driven and highly organized.
  • Comfortable working with large spreadsheets and structured data.
  • Strong communicator and team player.
  • Reliable, consistent, and process oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain product data across systems (RPS, POS, and E-commerce).
  • Map vendor data (models, UPCs, categories, images, documents) into internal catalog standards.
  • Perform regular audits of product attributes, pricing, categories, and assets for accuracy.
  • Monitor and resolve errors in data imports.
  • Troubleshoot catalog issues flagged by sales, dealers, or customer service.
  • Use SQL/database queries for data validation, error-checking, bulk updates, and reporting.
  • Leverage strong Excel skills to clean, transform, and analyze large datasets.
  • Work with PIM/ERP environments and data feed formats (API, XML, CSV, FTP) to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Partner with IT on catalog-related system improvements and enhancements.
  • Document catalog processes, mappings, and audit trails.
  • Support business continuity by stepping in on key catalog tasks when needed.
  • Assist in creating standardized processes that streamline catalog operations for multiple brands.
