Requirements

• 5+ years of food and dairy industry experience of which 2+ years dairy plant experience
• PhD/Masters/Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree or relevant scientific field of study
• Certifications such as six sigma is highly beneficial
• Helpful if experienced in project management; equipment layout and design; leading teams/project teams

Responsibilities

• Design and implement projects focused on efficiency, sustainability, profit and continuous improvement
• Writes project proposals and generate reports
• Presents design and research to internal customers
• Technical resource for the manufacturing and support functions
• Troubleshoot chronic issues associated with product and process, i.e. Triage
• Support process on large capital projects
• Partner with product development on feasibility and trialing of new ingredients and products
• Develops process to meet production, measures process capabilities with the plants
• Proactively maintains material handling, batching, and process and new technology and equipment to improve the process/efficiency of the business
• Document batch, process, and equipment changes in product life cycle management
• Validate process change through process capability measurement
• Active member of the Management of Change representing process change
• Travel required as needed for business
