About The Position

The Workplace Health and Safety Technical Solutions Team seeks an accomplished Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead global initiatives in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Process Safety Engineering (PSE). In this high-impact role, you will ensure compliance with international, regional, and local regulations for highly hazardous chemical (HHC) processes across Amazon’s facilities worldwide. You will play a key role in designing, constructing, and operating projects involving alternative energy sources and HHC, strictly adhering to Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP). This position demands deep expertise in Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) Risk-Based Process Safety (RBPS) principles, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of regulatory compliance standards, including OSHA PSM and EPA RMP (North America), the Seveso Directive (Europe), and emerging regulations in the Asia-Pacific region. As a strategic partner to technical, operational, and leadership teams, you will drive improvements in global process safety performance while fostering a robust safety culture throughout the organization. This role also involves shaping the engineering vision and strategy to ensure consistency in managing process safety risks across Worldwide (WW) Operations, focusing strongly on hydrogen fuel usage, emerging green alternative energy sources and its associated safety considerations. You will collaborate with diverse teams to implement a systematic, scalable approach to risk identification, mitigation, and management.
