You will be the Sr. Process Quality Engineer – Manufacturing for the Missiles & Fire Control (MFC) – Santa Barbara Focalplane Team. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (advanced degree a plus) with 5+ years of experience in process or manufacturing or quality engineering, preferably in aerospace or defense. or equivalent combined education and experience.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, Python, etc.) and quality methodologies (Six‑Sigma, Lean, FMEA, SPC).
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and experience leading root‑cause investigations.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & Execute Quality Plans – Create comprehensive quality control plans, inspection criteria, and test methods for new and existing products.
  • Process Audits & Inspections – Perform internal audits, line walkthroughs, and real‑time inspections to verify conformance to specifications and standards.
  • Data Analysis & Trending – Collect, analyze, and visualize quality data to uncover trends and prioritize improvement opportunities.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Partner with design engineers, manufacturing supervisors, test teams, and program managers to resolve non‑conformances.
  • Continuous Improvement Leadership – Lead root‑cause investigations, develop corrective actions, and track effectiveness through metrics such as PFMEA and SPC.
