About The Position

The Senior Process Mechanical Piping Designer will lead the design and development of process piping systems for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. The role involves creating detailed designs and models with minimal guidance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Requirements

Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Process Piping Designer, in Biopharma manufacturing environments or Oil & Gas.
Proficiency in modeling within a BIM project coordination environment.
Experience with CADWorx and Isogen piping design software preferred; experience with similar software considered.
Working knowledge of ASME BPE standards and clean utility services design.
Ability to execute detailed design assignments with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel occasionally to worksites throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Nice To Haves

Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required
Additional experience with Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and detail process piping systems for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical facilities, adhering to ASME BPE standards.
Develop high-purity process systems and clean utility services designs.
Utilize CADWorx and Isogen for piping design; leverage similar design modeling software as necessary.
Collaborate with project teams in a BIM environment to ensure effective project coordination.
Conduct site visits for design verification and project support as required.
Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Provide technical guidance and support during the construction phase of projects.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and technologies.
Participate in project meetings and communicate design progress and issues.
Review and validate design models and documentation to ensure accuracy.
