Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever. As a Senior Photomask Wet Process Engineer at MTC (Mask Technology Center) at Micron, you will sustain Wet Process Equipment, including upgrades and installations. You will maintain equipment functionality, analyze data for critical decisions, and drive cost reduction. Additionally, you will develop advanced mask cleaning and resist strip processes, ensure proper documentation for shift teams, and collaborate with suppliers to resolve tool issues. Your role includes implementing new or optimized processes through systematic DOE for defect reduction and yield improvement.

  • Develop effective process/equipment monitoring and troubleshooting guidelines or methods.
  • Develop and implement advanced mask cleaning and resist strip processes.
  • Initiate and implement new or optimized processes in a timely manner through systematic DOE (Design of Experiments) with the goal of defect reduction and yield improvement.
  • Conduct process development effectively with appropriate planning, execution, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for complex problems and address root causes.
  • Attend and participate in 8D, Process Maturity Check (PMC), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and provide support to manufacturing, such as troubleshooting equipment issues and reacting to production metrics.
  • Sustain Wet Process Equipment, including system upgrades and tool installations.
  • Maintain and ensure the functionality of an equipment toolset.
  • Analyze data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activities.
  • Ensure proper tool documentation and reaction mechanisms exist for shift teams and submit updates to content when needed.
  • Partner with suppliers to resolve tool problems, defect issues, and maximize tool availability.
  • Track actions and provide escalation paths or resources to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Proactively communicate issues that could cause yield loss, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss.
  • Collaborate internally and across teams to brainstorm and apply rigorous problem-solving techniques to solve problems and make continuous improvements.
  • Improve communication and collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with other process development engineers to improve overall mask capability.
  • Provide support to Micron HVM fabs on EUV mask clean process development.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in semiconductor or mask wet process development.
  • Good understanding of and ability to explain process mechanisms.
  • Extensive mechanical hands-on experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance.
  • Be able to work independently or as a team member.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) and document experimental results.
  • Ability to understand test results and provide solutions.
  • Skills with Data Science.
  • Choice of medical, dental and vision plans.
