Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Engineering & Sciences (E&S) is seeking candidates for the position of an Sr. Principal Test Operations Logistics Engineer to support the NGMC MDA in Linthicum, MD or Annapolis Junction, MD. This position requires full-time on-site work at our Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) in Linthicum, MD location or our Annapolis Junction, MD location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with 8 years of relevant experience; Master of Science degree in STEM related field with 6 years of relevant technical experience; PhD in STEM related field with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in test labs through operations or test execution
  • Strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication and collaboration, team engagement, and organizational skills.
  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance per customer requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated success leading high performance teams as technical, integrated product team, and/or functional leader.
  • Experience with cryogenic and superconducting device test protocols and methods.
  • Experience as a technical lead supporting test efforts and staff across multiple test stands.
  • Experience managing large data sets.
  • Experience with inventory management and tracking tools.
  • CAM/EV experience.
  • Active U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the test schedule
  • Chip tracking for test life cycle requests, received, in test, package availability, material needs (request through IPT)
  • Develops and manages software tools to track devices for test
  • Captures test objectives and exit criteria
  • Submits device request forms
  • Implements tools to log device location
  • Determines when chips are to be dispositioned
  • Completes Test IMS as requested/necessary
  • Coordinates Technician resource demand and allocation with technician homeroom and test lead
  • IT ticket escalation
  • Log and share outstanding tickets with team and prioritize tickets for escalation
  • POC for requests of Custom Hardware support
  • Generates requests for internal non-programmatic support teams
  • Interface with program IPT regarding test needs and requirements
