Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is a Hybrid Telecommute role based in San Diego, CA, with at least 3 days per week onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Supply Chain discipline from an accredited university and 8+ years of subcontracts, supplier management, procurement or project management experience OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management with 6+ years experience
  • Advanced experience with FAR and DFARS regulations.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Degree with focused studies in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience with management of complex subcontracts.
  • Experience with negotiations of complex contract types, including inventive fee type contracts
  • Experience presenting to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience effectively working with Supplier Management Team (SMT).
  • Experience issuing and managing purchase orders/subcontracts from beginning to end of life cycle.
  • Knowledge of SAP

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with both large businesses and small businesses on a variety of complex-type contracts.
  • Must have an understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
  • Full knowledge of industry practices.
  • Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks.
  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
  • Able to be creative in finding solutions to resolve issues.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
  • Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
  • Attend program meetings and may be required to present to groups.
  • Must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the FAR/DFARS and processes and/or procedures required to be followed in order to be in compliance with FAR/DFARS.
