Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Supply Chain Subcontracts Specialist Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is a Hybrid Telecommute role based in San Diego, CA, with at least 3 days per week onsite.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Supply Chain discipline from an accredited university and 8+ years of subcontracts, supplier management, procurement or project management experience OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management with 6+ years experience
Advanced experience with FAR and DFARS regulations.
Advanced experience in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

Degree with focused studies in Supply Chain Management.
Experience with management of complex subcontracts.
Experience with negotiations of complex contract types, including inventive fee type contracts
Experience presenting to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders.
Experience effectively working with Supplier Management Team (SMT).
Experience issuing and managing purchase orders/subcontracts from beginning to end of life cycle.
Knowledge of SAP

Responsibilities

Negotiate with both large businesses and small businesses on a variety of complex-type contracts.
Must have an understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
Full knowledge of industry practices.
Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex professional tasks.
Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
Able to be creative in finding solutions to resolve issues.
Develop solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.
Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
Attend program meetings and may be required to present to groups.
Must be able to work independently and have strong organizational skills.
Must be knowledgeable of the FAR/DFARS and processes and/or procedures required to be followed in order to be in compliance with FAR/DFARS.
